A WALK THROUGH THE PAST
Baseball's greatest moments through film archives, uniforms, bats, balls, and an unequaled collection of baseballmemorabilia including the first baseball diamond (still in use at the annual Hall of Fame game). Walk down the wooden sidewalks and step back to 1830 by going to the Farmer's Museum and see craftsmen at work spinning flax into linen, printing, weaving, smithing, and working farms just as they did 150 years ago. It is a step into another time that shows us how our forefathers, through hard work and ingenuity, wrested a living from nature. The Cherry Valley Museum has a permanent display showing the trials and tribulations of the American Revolution. From The Revolution, head back to school at the Middlefield School House and imagine how it was to be a student in a two room school house. Across the street is the Fenimore House, which contains over 250 pieces of the finest example of American Folk Art. In Oneonta, there are two nationally known museums. The Yager Museum on the campus of Hartwick College contains one of the best permanent displays of Indian heritage and artifacts. There is also the National Soccer Hall of Fame of the world's most popular sport.
